Notes About The Poem

- The Invisible Enemy -

We do not need to draw a picture of the victims
Today's youth grow up under the illusion
that they are the only ones who have been betrayed
A piano has black and white keys
When the shoe is five sizes too large
you can swap it for a pair that fits
Are you struggling to make choices
We are all on the wave
                                and it is everyone's responsibility
Isolation has become part of our everyday lives

People have a fundamental need to be seen and heard
What's on your list, toilet paper and half a bottle of brandy
Although social media makes it easier than ever
to keep in touch with people around us
Everyone puts life on hold, regardless of age
in the fight against this invisible enemy
You are not alone in this darkness
___ it only seems that way
Right now it's actually the enemy
                                      sitting in the driver's seat
                                                 Act now

Expressive and emotive work. Reads like a good contender for the contest. This has been a hard year for everyone. Our nation has suffered as one people in that we have had to make sacrifices. Everyone one has suffered in some way, has been touched in one way or another during this period of time. Enjoyed reading your work. Thanks for dropping by my page. Sara

Hi Anne-Lise, What a encouraging and positive message. It’s so that they feel alone, we need to a safe for them to “ know” that they are not alone. Your poem expresses that fact very well. Best wishes in the in the contest. Have a wonderful day:-) Alexis

You are so right Anne-Lise. The enemy seems to be winning right now but with God ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. We can still win the war though this battle may be going down hill for now. There is strength in unity especially if you are in unity with God at the forefront. Wonderful write. God Bless, JB

It doesn't matter who gets credit for what, as long as everyone's effort is rewarded and nobody suffers alone. The storm surge that has been anticipated is the third wave that has been inevitable for some time now. Have a wonderful day.

Well written Anne, we're all in this together shame some dont take it seriously with some idiots having parties putting others at risk. Now a third wave is imminent. Good luck and enjoy your day. Tom

- Even our Prime Minister and her family broke the infection control rules - (14 people invited to dinner) - If the Prime Minister is not able to follow the rules, how can we expect the Norwegian people to be able to do it? - A great shame !!! - Thank you so much for your comments, Tom :) - Have a lovely day :) - hugs // Anne-Lise :)
