the internet
The world as I see
All the things that be
knowledge of the world held in my hand
Anything I wish to know
Or maybe watch a T.V show
Watch the news
Hear the blues
Order a brand new pair of shoes
How to do this how to do that that
Does this phone make me look fat
See places I have never been
Sites that may be a sin
A view of the world as never before
Do not even have to go to the store
Know weather weeks in advance
Find myself a little romance
But I am not inclined to take that chance
All the knowledge is waiting to be fed
Into my head
So much I wish to know
This little black box will show
What wild plants can I eat
Did my team go down in defeat
Visit anyone, anywhere without ever leaving my seat
Knowing what is going on around
Helps keep my feet on the ground
The ability to know
What the world has to show
Should help my knowledge to grow
