The Inferno of Your Essence
From the depth of scarlet autumn’s sinking horizon
winter came flying low on its frozen ashen wings.
Dismal sky couldn’t hold the clumps of cloud hanging on,
snow wafted wild as the northern wind started to sing .
On my sagged eyelashes teardrops congealed in cold,
glided with the wings of winter on waves of snowflake,
carried shards of broken heart in the memory to hold,
unsure, to reach the yearning arms, how long it’d take.
My yearning heart blazed in the inferno, your essence,
with the winged blizzard of winter the flame flew away.
Soul turned to seething embers radiating glow intense,
piled up in debris of remembrance in ash of gloom grey.
Wanton snowflakes of my cold fervor made of dry tear
fell silently on my pallid meadow like dark night’s dew,
craved for your warm sunrise embrace, I longed to endear,
my dreams waited to rise from the ruins to see a day new.
