The Idiom of Love
I was drinking wine
I was making minds mine
I was turning keys
I was setting people free
I was being deceived
By the silent side of me
I was welcomed home
I was gone away
I was free to roam
I was told to stay
I was being confused
By the soul that I had used
I was flying by
I was flying high
I was never questioned why
I was prepared to die
I was beautified
By the ugly side of life
I was crying tears
I was drowning in my fears
I was feeling weak
I was releasing my years
I was afraid to peak
Afraid to get near
I was smart enough to be a step ahead
She did more crying than I did
I was strong enough to be brave
She loved enough to be my slave
I was dumb enough to let her go
She was smart enough to lose hope
