The Humble Truth

Soon this pain will be gone In lieu of the happy past Soon this fear we share Will change the childhood lust Completely to the feeling we fight Each and every single night Soon the fountain in us Shall overflow with the force we built Soon I shall be a man And you a woman to accept the ending Of a story began in years The story of the seed we sowed together Soon we’ll be in our new world Where the golden brown skies remain Where it is always full moon phase And with flowers and birds abound We shall tell our story To the heavens above Soon I won’t fear to endanger The friendship I share with you By confessing I’m in love with you Soon we’ll stop pretending And stop acting best friends When within, we are lovers Soon we’ll leave the world behind us To the clouds above us To tell the painful story Of how best friends changed to lovers Maybe in our dreams Or maybe in the next world But until then, that’s if it will come, We have to accept the humble truth Soon I shall be a man And you a woman To understand some seeds can’t grow With some other seeds Soon we’ll learn to accept We can’t be together Except in our fantasies, of course As we bow to the humble truth, Just remember, I will always love you My sweet friend and lover!
