The Human Race

What makes us different and what does not Is it the color we bleed or just the skin that we’ve got Could arrogance be dictating what’s right or wrong Why must we feel like we don’t belong Could it be a sexual preference, or maybe none at all When did we learn to hate, where was that trip and fall Individually we are different, on that we can agree Mankind is all one group, that is what we need to see If doesn’t matter if you’re gay or straight; red, black or white We are all the same, no matter how we spend our night Every man, woman and child occupying this time and space are part of something special, it’s called the Human Race

Hello Mark ... what humanity has invented has led to power, greed, and property ownership and when everyone wants more of the pie, problems begin - thanks again Mark - Lindsay

Very well said, Mark, but so many want to make it different. I had to look up the quote, Tom quoted "John F. Kennedy - No one has been barred on account of his... No one has been barred on account of his race from fighting or dying for America, there are no white or colored signs on the foxholes or graveyards of battle." wonderful quote.

Well said Mark, we're all members of the human race and we should all show respect for one another. Heard a quote once from JFK, there are no coloured signs on the graveyards of battle, its always stuck in my mind. Hope alls well. Tom
