The House

(17/09/2015

Nightmares, as I’m looking back,
Into the house with haunts of memories,
Scared! As I laid there in my bed,
Wrapped in covers, very tight,
Thoughts to keep all evil out,
Too frightened, as to move,
Looking! At the darkened room,
Fearing, not to make a sound,
Listening to the noises call,
Beckoning, saying as to me,
“Come to my darkness, if you please,
Follow me!
Down to my cellars, down to my walls”
Hearing as the demons call
“Step out from your safe secure,
Up from covers you tried to bind,
Dance with me! Below the grounds”
Gripping terrors trying not to hear,
The droning tempting scary lore,
Wondering when the dawn would shine,
Protection from the terrors night,
When day light comes, awake my sleep,
Morning light a great relief,
The house of nights that never sleeps.
Memories past forever deep.
