The House
Gum littered the streets
And smoke blanketed the sky
Gloom covered the face
Of every girl and guy
In the place where I was born
There was no truth, only lies
This would eventually lead
To our great demise
One simple row house
Sits abandoned in Hyattsville
Among rusty chain-link fences
And rolling sidewalk hills
A family used to live there
There used to be happiness
But now the house is empty
And sits shrouded in darkness
