The Hour Glass of Life
When the hour glass of life has run its last grain,
Are you ready to take that ride on that eternal bound train?
The train bound for glory and Heavens own gate,
Or has the life that you led, led you to a different fate?
If each grain of sand represented a day of your life,
How many grains have you wasted on sorrow and strife?
Did you ever stop and think that your days here would end?
Man has no control he’s like a leaf in the wind.
When that last grain is spent no one can share theirs with you,
Do the best with what you’ve got till that last grain falls through.
Live your life to fullest and smile all the while,
You know you couldn’t have done better as you walk that last mile.
Be glad that you made your mark and left your footprint,
And hope that it’s been enough and not a waste all these days that you’ve spent.
For one day we will all stand in judgment for all that we’ve done,
As He reads our names from that book will yours be His chosen one?
They say there will be a lot of disappointment the day that judgment comes round,
For there will be many sad faces when they realize they’re not Heaven bound.
So live each day for our Savior and live it like its your last,
Ask Him for forgiveness and put the past in the past.
thanks Rhoda
