The Hot Seat

Being in the hot seat Is second nature to me I’ve always thought it neat, Being in the hot seat ‘Tis not always so sweet Expressing opinion, you see, Being in the hot seat Is second nature to me. Written August 14, 2022 [I wrote Opinion for the Huntington, WV Dispatch for about eight years!]

Oh, I've gotten accustomed to it over the years. When you are a pastor, you are always in the hot seat. Writing opinion will certainly get you there, too. So, I have lots of experience.

That just means you'll never be accused of being frigid! There's something to be said for being in the hot seat if it's a matter of keeping your integrity... as you do.

Ha, you can only be yourself, and being opinionated always brings diversity.I have been known to be in that seat also Milton. I guess we are in a special club. The club of Hot Seat offenders...

Thanks, Michael. We should start our own club, as you suggested. I have opinions, and I have every right to express them, but I also have to be thick-skinned enough to take the flak. Fortunately, I do. I have lots of practice. Love your comment, guy.
