Amy, the role of the poet is to express the truth in whatever form that takes. It is not the poet's job to do anything but write. I am talking about the post-modernist understanding that there is no permanent loci, no I, from which the voice issues- there is no presence. There is, for me, a co-existence, though temporary, between all things and that is what the poem addresses.

Jack, Welcome to Poetry soup, I hope you enjoy the community. Here, you will find friendly poets who enjoy supporting one another. I myself, enjoy reading and commenting those who want to be read.
