My hope for all I do not know. and those who are my friend, Is for health and happy living, and enough to get you through, Both physically and mentally, in everything you do. And if you wish for more than that, the means to get you there. Remember that along the way it doesn't hurt to share. Be kind and diplomatic to everyone you meet, And thank the Lord for sustenance when you sit down to eat. We did not get here by ourselves, some helped along the way, Parents, teachers, preachers, had a thing or two to say, About the way were are today, and who, and what, we are, Without them who knows where we'd be, for sure it's not this far. I hope you are as fortunate as I am here today, Have a loving spouse and family and many friends that say: They love you and they like you and they're glad that you are here. Please return the love you get in the next and coming years. If you've lost a friend or loved one, in the year that's almost o'er Think of them as they lived their lives, not now, but as before. Don't dwell on loss and sadness, I'm sure that would make them mad Think how nice it was to know them, and that will make them glad. No matter your religion, how you're getting through your days, Giving of yourself to others, doesn't cost and always pays. The return is always greater makes you think good things of you, To have a friend just be a friend in everything you do. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas whichever you prefer. It's not the words that matter but the thoughts that I confer Upon you to consider, for your life, in coming years. May you have a smile upon your face shed only happy tears.
