The Hobo
There once was a hobo
Who got caught in the rain
He had no money
So he jumped on a train
Wherever it took him
For awhile he would remain
Leaving this town
Made him feel blue
Leaving behind
A lot of people he knew
Where the train was taking him
He had no clue
As train took off
He opened the door a ways
So he could see
The scenery that day
As the train climbed the hill
It went so slow
Gave him a chance to see
The valley below
He ended up in Kentucky
Found a place to stay
Went to work
So his bills he could pay
Met a beautiful woman
He admired so
Could tell he was happy
For it did show
Would never go back
To the old life again
Finally in love
Had peace within
