The Hit

Poised so ready to smack the ball,
The little fellow gave it his all
With grin on face and bent knees
He swung the bat with such great ease
You’d think this kid was surely a pro
Coming up to bat and standing so
But, maybe one day he’ll make his mark
As this 6 year old batter hits it out of the park.
The joy that he has on his face
As he takes all the bases as if in a race
And just as he was rounding third
You could hear him shout the following words,

“My first home run, did you see that?!!!!”
