The Hidden Night
The hidden night
It uttered from a depth
Groaning souls
That death could not take a nap
It gave a rattle
Grinding away to sudden thunder
With so much asunder
We were left to wonder
Battling the slopes
Thus wringing limbs for hope
With the wheels
Off the cart
It became a dreary life
Saddled with deadly hopes
Surfing in an ethereal realm
Pausing To phase away
Life’s strains
Creased across ones brows
We juggle
Bile for every bite
Clenching fists
While gnashing teeth
We settled in a puddle of tears
Wretched out
With much draining
We slowly drift off
Into an ocean of tears
