The Henriad
Battled lands, traitors afoot, beg his precis, Highlights his ascent, forgiveness be his plea, Openly nigh, wolves in a shepherd's court free, ~~I came, he naught knoweth, Plagued by a war that his own heart desired naught, Nonetheless, his kingdom he sees, so he fought, Consumed was he, triumph freed, clarity brought, ~~I know naught he cometh, Intervening moments taunts my attention, Remedy this failure left in suspension, Clear fog of time elapsed be my retention, ~~Deathblow, evil leaveth.

I'm totally impressed with your tail end describing battle and conquering. Presented with Georgian mood (excuse inaccuracy, I am inept with historical knowledge) The rhyme is a fabulous departure from the 'usual culprits'. Grand work, will be a Winner (very soon)!

Placing will be hard pressed being its limitation of just a few, nonetheless, thank you for the encouragement, Sigrid, it's an account of King Henry V through the eyes of Shakespeare, though it be a tale from true history, still, there lies some small truth, thanks for your assessment, stay well my friend, Aloha!
