The Heavens Parted
The Heavens parted, the sea split in two
Dry land appeared, the Israelites walked through
Six weeks later they stood at Sinai, as one they said
“Everything in your Torah, we will gladly do”
A revolution occurred, a Covenant made
between a People and God, a firm foundation laid
And though the People have too often strayed
the Covenant remains, 3,348 years ~ to this very day
