The Heart's Ocean

Hope glitters within the heart's ocean,
patiently submitting to life's troubles.
A storm of problems toss the soul,
filling hope's mouth with despair's bubbles.

Sometimes the touch of sorrow's wave
enriches a human more than a frost of joy.
But the tempest releases glass tears,
as emotions break like a fragile toy.

Pieces of past experiences drift with the tides,
shifting through the currents of the mind.
Waves of wisdom release the inner gold
that the damaged soul sails to find.

The golden gleam of life's sunset
reflects upon the endless sea of the heart.
The salty spray upon human cheeks
softens the soul's ethereal part.
