The Heart's Flight

Through the shimmering veil of time
Traversing the star dusted sky
Twinkling as they quickly shoot by
To charm the path of the heart's flight.

Roaming suddenly free of fear
Revived by a warm current stream
Rescuing the soul from the sea's
Ravenous hunger for sunbeams.

Unveil the shimmer of twilight's
Uncanny glow that keeps us tied
Up to the limit of past time's
Unfavorable sight, stressing flight.

Embrace the gold streams of sunbeams
Emanating from the heavens' new gleam
Erasing the lies we've believed
Entrusting the love that we feel.

What a magnificent of rescuing the beams of a soul's light from the "ravenous" sea, Caroline. We do have to let go of the past to free ourselves and find a way to embrace the light. There's a deep spiritual quality to this amazing poem, Caroline. Your words never cease to amaze me. Beautifully written with images that support the message so creatively. Nice to see you posting new work. Love, Carolyn
