The Heart Trembles
The Heart Trembles
The heart trembles as when I thus one speaks of truth
Underneath the pale moon rising while you cloak with roses,
While you are hiding neath your darkened cloak and dagger
Have you not betrayed me? Can you honestly tell me is that isn’t true?
For as my child is trembling in fear knowing well for I’m asking
The purest heart thus trembles when it talks and speak of truth.
When you were young and small it is so easy to fear people
As people do grow up- in their common-place and not utter,
Are all feelings the same in those long and endless days streaming?
In this fear, what’s more important is it that last fall and dead end?
Soon you’ll be so long and forgotten for God will not have empathy for you
I truly see you’re a real octopus. Made of many real big mistakes, then often
Then you’ll be fallen and not be able to be accepted and enter heaven’s gate.
