The Heart Magician

It takes time to realize the mistakes you've made

Or maybe just time to accept they were mistakes

Either way, you've gotta find a new path

Learn from the past, and don't let yourself break

I'm no self proclaimed Prophet

And I'm not always right in the things I do

But when I speak these words of truth and wisdom

Just remember that they're meant for you

Sometimes enough just simply never is

You think you know someone, until you really do

But then it's too late to escape all the chaos

How can it be hard to forget someone you never knew?

Can you sit there knowing you're no better than an option?

Seen as someone to just pass the time

Have your feelings been crushed and ground into the dirt?

You're as lost as a group of drunken mimes

Are you the same person that you used to be?

Or have you lost yourself in all the confusion

Your heart is still there under your chest

But the heartbeat is just an illusion

On the outside your pain appears to be minimal

Maybe your heart is too broken for healing

You've secluded yourself into the shadows

The aura around you is nothing short of chilling

Shied away from all that surrounds you

But putting the weight upon the shoulders of yours

Weakened by lies, but too strong to die

It's too hard to cry once you've shut all the doors
