The Heart Has No Wrinkles

The Heart Has No Wrinkles

By Elton Camp

When their marriage was new
Sam and Meg vowed to be true

To love each other from the heart
Until death, never would they part

Handsome Sam was quite a man
Beautiful Meg was a lady grand

They worked at day, loved at night
In each other took intense delight

When the children came along
To a loving family they did belong

Into adults the kids disappeared
Sam and Meg, middle age neared

Years passed and the two grew old
Love changed, but never drew cold

Their days of youth very long past
The end of life approaching fast

Both wrinkled skin, elderly and gray
“The heart has no wrinkles,” they say
