The Headless Horseman Teaches Again

A cold, creepy Halloween night.
What Katrina found gave her a fright.
It was the head of Ichabod Crane-
Of headless horseman fame.
She waited for him to ride by.
Closed her eyes and held his head way up high.
The next day Crane was back teaching his class.
As if 230 years never passed.

This is the best Halloween poem I have read; Sleepy Hollow must be smiling.

LOL...what a fun visual! Where I grew up, I once got lost in the dark, driving on Spooky Hollow Road, not far from the tales of Washington Irving!
