Some Things Are Just Better Left Alone.
It sits well back away from the road hidden by bushes and trees.
Even the lane that leads from the gate seems colder than late Fall's breeze.
The grounds are vast and overgrown, the house is weathered, bare.
It used to be a grand estate, now no one seems to care.
The wind blows 'round the house's eaves giving a mournful cry.
Some say it sounds like a long lost soul who in this house did die.
There is a rumor in the town of things that happened here.
Most folks say the tales are true and shun the place in fear;
So it's a good place to settle down if you wish to be left alone.
Far enough out in the woods where we will feel at home.
We can prowl and we can hunt to our heart's content,
And we won't have to worry 'bout what they think of our intent.
