The Hardships of Friendship

Friendship can be a very hard journey. Sometimes, but not always, knowing what to say. Wanting to help in any way possible, but always unsure. Approaching with caution, afraid of every step. Worrying, as if you’re stepping on a dynamite field. Trying not to let their fears become your own. Helping, but at the same time keeping distance. Afraid of falling into the same pit of depression as them. But still you stick it out to the end, Cautiously put one foot in front of the other. And lead the way back to the road of sanity, Bringing your friends with you. This is what makes the trip worth the effort. Seeing the hope light up in their eyes, Knowing there is a tomorrow. Knowing there is light in the darkness.
