The Hands of Time

If I could turn back the hands of time
We would be together and you would still be mine
All my heartache would go away
If only God had let you stay

I would ask him to set you free
I need you more than Heaven does, can't he see
And if God says that can't be
I will ask him to leave you and take me

For life is too hard without you by my side
My life, my love, my beautiful bride 
So God turn back the hands of time
And return to me this love of mine
