The Guiding Light
The Word of God begins my day,
It is the light throughout my way,
When darkness envelopes my night,
The Word of God shines forth its light,
It is a lamp unto my feet,
The lighthouse to which I retreat,
The guiding light, I hold it high,
It lights my path, it lights my sky,
It is a shining light to me,
My magnifying glass to see,
It brightens up the path I take,
Helps me in decisions I make,
The Word of God does shine so bright,
It is my lamp, my guiding light.
