The Greatest Love Is Mine

I am aware of time I've wasted,
of all the days idly spent,
however good seemed the intent:
it fell short, turned aside in my sin,
but who would dare to compare loss and gain?

Defeat once seemed to be victory in disguise,
 but, Jesus tore the vale away,
when I look back at all I've lost in this life:
it doesn't compare with what I've gained in Christ,
little room do I have for pride;
o what a great ride...
