The Greatest Holiday Gift

I had excelled in high school exams, so
Was expecting from parents a prize;
But I knew they wouldn't let me know,
As they would want to give a surprise.

I woke up to a bright day these summer holidays,
Looking at a pearl necklace on my table I was glad;
And what made it the greatest holiday gift was
That it was with love from mom and dad.
