The Greatest Gift

I remember on Christmas day Holiday cheer on my face As I got up and looked under the Christmas tree A box of wrappings and ribbons just for me What's inside? I can’t wait to see My curiosity is taking over me I really wonder What could really be Inside my box Under the Christmas tree Maybe it could be Toys, planes Lego's for me Blocks, games Maybe paintings A coat, a hat A nice pair of jeans’ Oh the wonderful things it could be So tear by tear Rip by rip I open up my gift From dear Saint Nick When I looked inside It bewildered me It wasn’t what I Thought it would be It was a photo of My family I asked my mom What does this photo mean She turned And said to me The greatest gift Doesn’t come from A box under a tree The greatest gift comes From time with loved ones and family And to me That was the best gift I have ever received And to me that Is what Christmas Truly really means
