The Great Pretender

He should not be your partner or even one that you know
For he will never concur yet your relationship will grow
He will never just leave as you gave him his life
So quick to deceive he’s the cacophony of strife

He waits off to the side yet he is never too far away
For he knows you will abide because you are his prey
He is forever patient and knows just when to strike
The invitation being sent saying come in if you like

And if not today then maybe tomorrow
But he will find some way to add to your sorrow
Be it with family or a close personal friend
He’ll never just let it be he will never let it end

So you need to kick him out just tell him to go
Taking all those seeds of doubt that he tries to sow
Using prayer as a weapon and God’s Glory as your shield
Conflict will now be done for to God all shall yield
