The Great Hope

With Tears and pains
echoing from the drains
We have lived through the ages
Like prisoners tamed in cages

With Strong belief flowing through our veins
That after the hot season comes the rains
With gazes fixed on who is to come
Hope has been intertwined into our norm

Our whole being is dominated by fears
Of falling again and being left in tears
Everyday we cry, we pray and we hope
Because our future is hanging on a rope

We obsess ourselves with the solution
When the problem is in a state of distortion
Is there really any hope for a messiah
As once prophesied by the prophet Isaiah
