The Great Glowing God

The Great Glowing God She brings him his meals in his chair As he watches the Great Glowing God. She makes sure there’s clean clothes to wear, Still he’s watching the Great Glowing God. She raises the kids, guides them on their way, Cleans up after him every day While he stares straight ahead with barely a nod As he worships the Great Glowing God.

I loved the poem, Kay. I pictured a paraplegic who did not have all his faculties. And felt this was confirmed because of the 3 lines about God. I could also relate to the way women "our age" cater to men... I much prefer my first interpretation. Well done, Kay.

Husband. (It's all "woman's work" and he doesn't have to pitch in and help...she must work outside the home as well as inside.) Thanks for reading and for the nice comment :)
