The Great Endeavor

Life on the grand stage,
an ancient drama.
From, "untouchable",
to holy, "Braman".

One chews the sandal,
one anoints the head.
One's venerated,
the other's just dead.

There's an old saying,
life is for learning.
But the villain says,
Books are for burning.

The show must go on,
the great endeavor.
The plot of a man,
that lives forever!

Wow Meru, this is a very powerful piece, so consise, and well constructed. The setting is foreign to me, but the message is universal. Best - Ken
