The Great 80's

The Great 80’s

The 80’s age had the best music
Heavy metal we were musing
Michael Jackson was the rage
And pop artists filled our stage

Great big hair and outrageous make-up
From the love era that we wake up
In this time of opulence
We indulged our populace

Prince showed us how doves cry
And John Lennon said goodbye
Poser music, flashy clothes
Extreme highs and drastic lows

VCR’s, answering machines
MTV would hit our screens
How I miss this enormous decade
And I wish that it could stay

Hold it near and I will pray
that it never goes away....
