The Grass Is Not Greener On the Other Side

Life is not a bed of roses, and will never be.
This unfortunately takes a long time for some to see,
Life and its ups and downs, a realistic overview
The grass is never greener on the other side at all.

Explore new sites, graze new pastures, Oh yes we all do.
What we think will bring true happiness, and a life brand new.
The grass is never greener on the other side, you have to mow it,
And the water bill could be a bit too high.

The grass is never greener on the other side,
The same work whether you chose to believe.
lets say the grass is greener, it takes a whole lot, to keep,
It may take, a day, a month, or a year to achieve.

The title drew me in because I was speaking to a friend about this very topic.. The grass may not be greener, but hell its better finding out rather than just sitting by and thinking. Love this piece.
