The Gown
On the pedistool she stood all wrapped up in lace
Taken a back from the site that caused her heart to race
Her breath caught with a tiny gasp
For the reflection she could not quite grasp
A cascading waterfall of beaded milky satin
Was all she had ever truly imagined
Curls of golden waves peaked out from under a delicate veil
The picture of a bride now fully unveiled
"This is my dress" she thought through a stream of tears
The moment she had dreamed of all these years
Here eyes gleamed with the new possibilities of life
She was now ready to become his devoted loving wife
