The Gossip and the Ear

The Gossip and the Ear

A gossiper will stir the pot
	they’ll say what is; they’ll say what’s not;
they stir and stir till what they’ve got
	is stench and putrid words that rot.

But gossipers I do not fear;
	they only say the things they hear.
The ones I fear the most is clear:
	the one who has the willing ear.
