The Good-Bye

Tear filled eyes
the last kiss
this is the last hug
to let you know
you will be missed.

The last look in your eyes
thinking about
what was just said
our last I love you
buried in my head.

Laying on my bed
wishing it was a dream
I close my eyes, and
I fast open just to see
if you would be next to me.

I know I have to stay strong
I believe we can make it through
I only wish I knew if you
are thinking about me too.

Looking at the same night sky
staring at the same full moon
I pray to God that you will return home safe
to me and to the love we always knew.
