The Goldilocks Planet
Do you wonder about the sun ?
Is it now running out of gas?
What happens when it does, my friend?
I will tell you of Earth's last pass
Each minute of every day
The Sun burns its gaseous core
Billions of years it has done so
There is perhaps a billion more
Now, as the sun runs out of gas
The size of the orb does expand
And the edge of the sun creeps nearer
The Earth - as the physics does demand
We live in a "Goldilocks Space"
It's not too cold and not too hot
But as the Sun invades our niche
It will get hotter than we've got
Now this is fact, so listen well
In due time the oceans will boil
And all of our Earth will burn crisp
No matter the worry and toil
We will either leave or perish
When Goldilocks no longer works
When global warming is a fact
And the ocean bubbles and perks
It's human nature to worry
And warming is a course to pursue
Fight the greenhouse effect of course
But we leave or die in round two
