The Golden Book

There from the ancient times was a golden book
Written for all men to read
On it is hung the life's truth as though a hook
Having the power to satisfy one's greatest need

How its teachings are ever infallible
Straightening the path that is crooked
And its precepts being indisputable
Changing the course of the wicked

It speaks of the wonders of creation
And the surpassing beauty of nature
It is to the heart a spiritual illumination
By which man understands the heavenly culture

In it are found the words of eternal message
That gives the soul its needed freedom
And through it is one informed of his glorious passage
Unto God's adorned kingdom
