The Gold

You were my hidden treasure
One that I kept from all
Because time is relentless
So were the ones that persued
I thought it was my secret
Cause you lied beneath my surface
But then i found the holes
From whom that came with lust
To find they also tore my soul
And destroyed your feelings of us
They took you and shaped you
Into what they thought was good
And now that i have told
About the way i feel
To be the lump of clay
And you to be the gold
