The Girl Who Lied

In her eyes,
I can see the lies,
That she’s tried to hide,
For so much time.

She can’t escape,
Because it’s much too late.
She needs some help,
But she won’t tell,
What goes on inside her mind.

At night she screams,
Because of terrible dreams.
They flood her mind,
At this time of night.

In time I hope she finds,
The will to try,
Because her time,
So precious and fragile,
Could run out at a moment’s notice.
