The Girl In the Mirror

The mirror was her worst enemy
She hated the girl looking back at her
All she wanted was to be free
Of that unwanted specter
The girl in the mirror refused to see
How wonderful her insides were
All she saw was what she could be
If she could just transfer
Out of this hated chair you see
That she would much prefer
What she wanted was to be free
To live like most everyone on Earth
Not confined to this chair eternally
The masses always looking at her
Saying "Oh my! What a pity!"
"Pity" had become such a terrible slur
She really just wanted to dance with glee
With no one looking down on her
So the girl in the chair made her plea
And the girl in the mirror concurred
Maybe they should just try to be happy
After all the girl in the mirror was her

The best things in life are experienced on the inside. These are our treasures. There are some good people on this planet who realize that touching is much more than skin deep.
