The Girl I Never Knew

we thought she had evrything she could wish for
because she never complained, never wanted more
she was a girl with a great style
she was a girl with the beggest smile
we thought she had the perfect life
while she was busy cutting her wrists with a knife

she went to church every sunday
she celebrated every christian holiday
if you had problems she was there
everybody wanted to befriend her
we thought her life was filled with fun
until the day she ended it with a gun

this is a story of a girl we'll never get to know
a story of a love we can never have a chance to show
if only we hadn't been so blind
if only she had told us what was in her mind
but "if only" doesn't help, what a shame
now we realise we didn't even know her name

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
