The Girl I Am

The girl I am

The girl I am
Is not
From the streets
That can be bribe
With money
Or love.

The girl I am
Enjoys a peaceful day
Filled with music
And the laughter of rain
Dancing down my window.

The girl I am
Enjoys flowers
With a small card
Hidden between
The petals
Of a deep red rose.

The girl I am
Does not mess with your kind,
A man who craves sex
With no love
In his eyes
Or in his voice.

The girl I am
Is fierce
With fists
Ready to swing
To protect
What I love.
