The Gift of Love
Why is it so hard to let go
You gave me something great
Only I found it much too late
My love for you is so real
I never knew
The heart takes time to heal
Who said life is flawless, unkind, and cruel
When you have lost the breath that gives you life
Only to realize what you feel
Is that love is so true
You gave me a gift
One I will never forget
You gave me time
You gave me love
You let my heart heal
Though all this time
Yours was hurting
Hurting for mine
