The Gift of a Little Time
THE GIFT OF A LITTLE TIME
(GOD Bless you, Blake Wood)
I shared a song and a prayer, one night,
With a young man who tended to me;
In a hospital bed, I laid;
He was someone, I regularly, did see;
Knowing, his faith was strong in The LORD,
I was happy to see his face;
It's never fun at Christmas time,
To be in that kind of place;
He performed his duties quite well;
Always, a smile, he did wear;
We talked about many things;
He then asked, if a prayer, he could share;
I said, "Yes, indeed, I would appreciate that,"
He took my hand right then;
The FATHER honored us, with HIS SPIRIT;
The Creator, of, All men!
Knowing this young nurse loved music;
Knowing The LORD, blessed me the same,
We shared a song of JESUS;
About when, the CHRIST CHILD came!
The Love of The FATHER, does not demand,
A great cost of any sublime;
Only, the fellowship of The SPIRIT,
And, the gift of a little time!
