The Gift of a Lifetime

Love, love, love, what is love? This is how I would describe love When we feel it for the very first time It's like nothing we've ever felt before We start doing irrational things We feel like we're walking three feet off the ground We see beautiful flowers where none exist We feel warm on the coldest of winter days Nothing and no one can bring down our mood It's the happiest most exciting time of our life Feeling the love of another person ranks up there As one of the greatest thrills, one can experience Compared to love, all else pales, Love always wins hands down It's what we live for, why we exist The moon above in a sea of twinkling stars Would rank second to this treasure of treasures When that one person comes along, no one need tell us We know immediately! Eternal love... the gift of a lifetime!
