The Gift
The Gift of Life
Every day as I open my eye, a brand new sun shines bright in the sky,
Every flower that colours my day, keeps gloom and darkness at bay,
Every breeze that sends fragrance, a gift of life feels His essence,
Every meal that my mom cooks, satiates my appetite to contented looks,
Every friend waiting me arrive, a sweet smile gives logic to survive,
Every laugh that goes in air, an achievement shows its unique flair,
Every tear has something to teach, as flow of emotions will preach,
Every heartbeat that speaks of love, thrives for the peaceful dove,
Every relation has its own taste, without these life is a big waste,
Every work is a daily worship, wholehearted and not with a whip,
Every material thing is a lust, never to forget mortality comes must,
Every soul that behaves kind, sends glitter even in eyes of a blind,
Every night I pray to The Lord, give might to the pen and let perish the sword !
